The FYI network has officially cancelled the Khloe Kardashian talk show, “Kocktails With Khloe.” Khloe took to Twitter to thank those involved with the project at FYI and Pilgrim Studios. He tweet stated, “I’ve enjoyed every second of shooting #KocktailswithKhloe.” She also thanked her guests for making it “such a fun experience.”
The move is probably in the best interest of the network. While the initial ratings of “Kocktails With Khloe” were high, the succeeding episodes did not do so well. However, the move by the network came as a surprise to many. A recently made announcement stated that the network had placed an order for 15 more episodes, with 8 of those already in the works.
There has been speculation that the show was cancelled because Khloe Kardashian had lost interest in the project. Her guests consisted mainly of friends and family members and there was reportedly confusion about the show’s direction and future.
The past year has been a turbulent one for the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star. Her estranged husband Lamar Odom overdosed at the Nevada-based brothel, the Love Ranch, last October and nearly died after being found unconscious. The incident came in the midst of their divorce proceeding and her new relationship with Houston Rockets player James Harden, 26, with whom she first stepped out with last July. They reportedly split earlier this year after she discovered he had cheated on her.
After the split, she put her focus solely on Lamar and his recovery. A source with knowledge of the matter says that Khloe was so focused on Lamar that she lost interest in her show and was just going through the motions. At one point, she refused to film for an entire week because she was so stressed about Lamar and his health.
But now that relationship appears to be in jeopardy as well. When Lamar found Khloe by his hospital bedside after days of being unconscious, he reportedly promised her that he would stay off the drugs if she would take him back. She took complete control of Lamar’s finances and healthcare decisions and made sure he had the best care possible. She even put their divorce on hold with the hopes that he might stay off drugs and alcohol.
All of that changed when she saw pictures of him drinking at Johnny O’Brien’s pub in Los Angeles’s Sherman Oaks. Sources say that Lamar told Khloe that it was only a couple of drinks, but she wanted him to get help in a rehab center. After he refused, she appeared to give up on both him and their marriage. This account would explain the message Khloe recently posted to social media that said “It doesn’t matter how loyal you are to someone. You can’t change someone’s heart and bad habits unless they want to themselves.”
